Position: Organic Chemist

Reports to: Director, Laboratory & Technical Services

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research and Development of new polymer products for domestic and international markets.
• Evaluates new additives, develops and implements their combinations for new and existing products.
• Development and implementation of new test methods.
• Provides technical support for new and existing organic/poymer products.
• Reviews writing of literature, supplies data.

Authority:

• Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system.
• Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through designated channels.
• Verifies the implementation of solutions.
• Approves new raw materials and sources.
• Approves acceptable suppliers.

Other Duties:

• Serves as Internal Auditor for ISO compliance.
• Serves on a Five Star Team.
• Some travel to job sites, sales presentations (5-10% travel)
