Territory Sales Representative – North Central Region

Postion Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

This position can be based in Chicago, IL, Minneapolis, MN, De Moines, IA or surrounding areas, and will be responsible for North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota and Northern Illinois territories. The Territory Sales Representative will be an integral member of the Five Star Products, Inc. Sales Team and will be responsible for growing the existing business as well as developing new opportunities.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

  • Focus efforts on achieving sales goals in the industrial and infrastructure markets
  • Track and follow through on all major projects relating to assigned markets
  • Develop and maintain a strong distribution base to support the sales efforts
  • Conduct Distributer training programs as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key engineering firms to promote Five Star specifications
  • Provide job site service as required to support major projects
  • Aggressively sell new products following introductions
  • Develop strong contractor relationships supported by leads and product training
  • Perform technical seminars as required to support market focus
  • Comply with all company protocol while representing Five Star Products, Inc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 5 years of experience in the industrial or construction industries
  • Field sales experience a plus
  • Basic understanding of the sales process
  • Capable of developing oral/written communication and presentation skills
  • Basic understanding of developing customer relationship
  • Knowledge of target market industries
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
  • Basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows based programs

  • Must have current and valid driver’s license

Regional Sales Manager - Asia

Position Reports to:   International Sales Manager

Position Supervises:   None

The Regional Sales Manager – Asia must be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Shelton, CT

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop sales plans to penetrate existing and new markets in Asia.
  • Manage country managers to achieve annual sales budgets.
  • Develop sales plans for distribution to penetrate key markets.
  • Conduct on-going training to licensees and distributors of FSP.
  • Audit licensees annually to protect Five Star formula compliance.
  • Conduct technical seminars as required to enhance specifications.
  • Manage IIR to ensure major projects are penetrated.
  • Provide job site technical service as required.
  • Conduct annual planning meetings to identify weakness in distributor and licensee.
  • Prepare, in a timely manner, all required paperwork, including monthly reports and trip reports.
  • Comply with all Company Protocol when representing Five Star Products, Inc.
  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities (Birth to Death)
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product
  • Manage expense reporting

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-Year Degree in Business or related discipline
  • 5+ years in building materials
  • Ability to communicate, present, and negotiate at all levels
  • Project management skills, problem solving, organizational and planning skills
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed both domestically and internationally
  • Fluent in Mandarin/Chinese
