Position: Technical Services Engineer

Reports to: Director, Laboratory & Technical Services

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle telephone inquiries concerning technical, specification and application information for products.
• Provide information on competitive products to Five Star's sales organization.
• Document field complaints for "Product Problem Summary Files."
• Review Five Star's product literature to ensure its accuracy and uniformity.
• Review and process product certification requests from customers.
• Coordinate new and present product submittals to Departments of Transportation for approval.
• Provide field technical service on special projects.
• Reviews purchase orders from power plants for any procurement exceptions.

Authority:

• Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
• Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through designated channels.

Other Duties:

• Serves as Internal Auditor for ISO compliance.
• Serves on Five Star Team.
• Travel to job sites (10% travel)
