Position: Plant Manager

Reports To: Dir. North American Operations

Location: Ripley, MS

Job Summary:

The Plant Manager is responsible for plant Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), scheduling product through the various processing lines based on order demand, and line capacity. This position must communicate closely with purchasing, plant supervision, sales, and customer service. Qualified candidates must have previous related experience in a manufacturing environment.

This is a hands-on Plant Manager who will oversee a custom fiberglass fabrication shop ensuring that all product is made according to drawings and internal specifications. The PM is responsible for the process from once order is received, through materials procurement and manufacturing, QC, and final shipment to the customer.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Plant Management:20-25 employees


  • Implement and improve EHS programs at the plant
  • Ensure good housekeeping throughout the plant
  • Confers with senior management to ensure manufacturing objectives are being met
  • Direct and coordinate daily operations of the manufacturing teams
  • Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance
  • Develop/improve processes to increase productivity and enhance performance
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are always followed
  • Screen, interview and manage the onboarding process of new hires
  • Provide training and educational materials to staff as necessary
  • Successfully manage projects to achieve all quality, performance, schedule, and cost objectives in a cross-functional environment.
  • Independently execute prioritization, planning, scheduling, and tracking of objectives.
  • Develop and review monthly KPI’s

  • Strong Demonstrated experience in Six Sigma/Lean manufacturing concepts including time studies, DMAIC, 5S, Control Charts, Kanban, Standard Work, 7 Wastes and other project and CI skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics.

Education and Experience:

  • BS in Engineering (preferred) or other Science (required)
  • 5+ Year’s plant management experience
    • Custom fabrication
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (desired)
  • Fiberglass or other polymer experience (desired)

  • Location: Ripley, MS
  • Travel: 10%-20% USA
